Opening of Juarez Contemporary.

Opening on December 5th at 6 pm, Amor por Juarez is pleased to invite you to the opening of Juarez Contemporary with the work of Jellyfish Collective and Dios Perro.

This new contemporary art gallery project seeks to promote the screening, inclusion and involvement of emerging, young and established artists in the national and international art and cultural scene, the development and promotion of local art, the professionalization of artists, curators, theorists and critics of art and other cultural agents of the border and forming an audience interested in contemporary creations and be a key point in the artistic and cultural events in the town.

Jellyfish Collective focuses on contemporary art practices combined with the dynamism of urban art always looking for a positive impact on their projects. Their work moves in various disciplines and media from mural painting to digital animation. They were recently selected as the Best Animated Film at the Festival de Cine de Morelia for their short film ‘9:30 a.m.’

Dios Perro is a multidisciplinary group created in mid-2013 in Ciudad Juarez. Composed of brothers Roman Silva (Juarez, 1991) and Horey Silva (Valle de Allende, 1986), its focus revolves primarily around contemporary graphics, hybridization of classic and new technologies through various media such as etching, screen printing and mural painting.
