Biografia

Born in El Paso TX and raised in Ciudad Juarez, Gloria Castillo is a recent graduate artist University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in Graphic Design. Since she was a child Castillo showed passion for art and painting, eventually winning several design competitions and recognition for her paintings. Her style is mainly realistic; she uses this to expresses feelings and ideas about culture on canvas using different techniques with oil and acrylic. In her short career as an artist, she has won a design competition for the Continental company, and has had two exhibitions. It is only the beginning of a long career that she has ahead, with many projects to provide new ideas and concepts for paintings. Her current focus is in the female face, looking to capture what each woman keeps, hides, or shows in society.
