our story
Amor por Juárez was founded in 2009 as a public awareness campaign to invite people to rediscover Ciudad Juárez, the world’s largest international border metroplex, during a time of regional challenges. Following federal reorganization in 2012, Amor por Juárez transitioned into a nonprofit organization with a renewed mission. While remaining rooted in its original goal of revitalizing local and international interest in Ciudad Juárez, the organization has since focused on cultivating a dynamic and diverse contemporary arts community with the power to positively impact the city and the region in meaningful ways.
our IMPACT
Amor por Juarez has managed to raise more than $360,000 over 13 years to support the growth of the regional arts and cultural economy. More than 200 emerging or renowned local and international artists and students have participated in our art events and programs. Through these programs, we have allowed these local artists to professionalize and take a leap in their careers, be with the community, and present their work to gain more recognition and a network within hearts.
