Between 2007 and 2010 Ciudad Juaez became one of the most dangerous cities in the world to live in. Once the violence in Juarez calmed down, we began the process of rebuilding the City, which was involved in the private sector and local NGOs.
Amor por Juarez is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of the citizens of Juarez through art and artistic creation. Love for Juarez & FICOSEC developed “Juarez Magico” A program to create a safe and healthy environment for the three neighborhoods most affected by violence in this city. These houses have a visual impact on the border of the Mex.-USA border
The Juarez Magico social intervention program is based on crime prevention strategies through environmental design. The program intended to build and paint a mega mural of 38m,000 m2, the largest in Mexico, which will transform the front of 210 homes and create an artistic intervention with the community of the area, with a social impact on the lives of 2,018 young people. under 18 years of age, 408 young adults and 1003 older adults, through collaborative practices and processes to define a design concept to develop a sense of belonging to the people who live in these neighborhoods. In collaboration with the FONHAPO (SEDATU) program, the activity will be painting houses.
